Follow the gold outline through the actual JC controls.
One-off bespoke materials: enter them by name in the MAT list. They never touch stock. Follow the normal flow to keep quantities and project costs aligned.
Full process instructions
1. Add to the project MAT list
Pick a stock item and reserve it for the job. Cost comes in automatically. (Bespoke one-offs are typed in by name and never touch stock.)
2. Stock reacts instantly
Available = quantity minus reserved. Below minimum turns LOW STOCK, below zero NEGATIVE. Nothing left the shelf yet, it is only reserved.
3. Order it
Buy from your supplier and record the order. It sits in Pending Orders so everyone knows stock is on its way. Purchase List builds the order email per supplier in seconds.
4. Goods arrive: Mark as Delivered → Confirm Delivery
Check Quantity Delivered and invoice cost, then Confirm Delivery. Stock is updated automatically. Available goes up. The yellow / red warning clears when the delivery restores enough available stock.
5. Project ends: Mark as Used
In Actually Used, enter the total quantity consumed, including waste; explain it in Waste Reason, then click Record Usage. The system posts an automatic Stock OUT, releases the reservation, and the project cost now reflects reality.
